Scarfie’s First Outing.
So… I’m not counting the times when I wore the scarf, pretending it was mine >.< I really want one now. It just is so beautiful! I may be a simple creature, but the never-ending combinations of Noro colors just endlessly charm me. I want to make a hundred of these scarves. People have remarked upon their addictive nature before, but I thought I’d be able to resist.. Turns out I was wrong! I might need to have a sorta-matchy one of these. Not in the same colors, that would be way too dorky. But I really want a Noro scarf for me…
Anyway, enough self pity for making a gift that someone actually LIKED and wanted to keep Here are some pictures from the first (real) time the scarf went on an outing. We went skating on the Frog Pond in Boston Public Gardens, and it was COLD. Greg, however, stayed nice and toasty in his silk and mohair scarf.
We tried very hard to get a picture together, (and trust me, there were MANY outtakes.) but the main problem was the wind, and the fact that I really need a haircut, so the hair is eating my face in most of them.
This one is probably the best. It’s hard to say, given the fact that we are making really weird faces in most of them.
Aaaaand just for you, here’s one of the aforementioned weird face pictures. It’s cold!!
Yup, I have no shame. I will totally post pictures of myself making really unattractive faces on my own blog. Yay self-promotion But you guys already knew how weird I am.
