Ten Foot Snow Drifts. Really.
So, dear friends, I survived the Snowpocalypse! It really was a storm of epic proportions, some of my friends made a full size igloo in their yard!! It was pretty incredible. In less fun news, a snowplow covered my car in a four foot high drift, and it had to be dug out, with much griping and grumbling and more than a few snowballs thrown. But it definitely could’ve been worse. I didn’t lose power during the storm, and I was nice and toasty warm through the whole thing. I watched a whole season of Avatar: The Last Airbender, which I’ve seen waaaay too many times. But I love it so much, I keep watching it over and over <3
A wee bit of knitting was completed as well. (And when I mean a wee bit, I actually mean a bit for a wee baby.) My layette for the boss’ mystery baby proceeds apace, with the last item (a tiny sweater) steadily coming into being. after that is finished, it’s photo time, and I am going to completely SMOTHER all of you with pictures of precious baby things. Then I have to start gearing up for MORE baby stuff, because apparently my aunt is about to pop out a (gender unknown) spawn relatively soon. Fortunately, I have a love affair with tiny baby clothes, and this is no hardship for me. Yay for cute little people!
I expect to have a surprise for you soon.. Very soon.. But that’s all for now!

Can’t wait for the baby stuff! A friend of mine is due in six weeks and I am right now leafing through my various magazines to find something nice that can be completed in time.
Congrats on you survival of the snowstorm. I remember the feeling – one winter there was so much snow that I had to start digging at the car park to find out which of the cars was actually mine – all of them completely covered in snow. Quite amazing!
